Times:1873-1900
The aim of the project was to raise public awareness to the presence of the forgotten hamlet of Waterside, often referred to as ‘Wapping’, demolished during the 1930s ‘Slum Clearance Act'.
'Times' is an 8 page (silk-screen printed) newspaper, compiled from the local micro-fiche newspaper archives.
The limited edition print included every article found to reference the lost village: from industrial politics and insect infestations to community events and petty crimes.
After being presented alongside the daily tabloids for a week at the local library, a copy was stored in the local library archives for public reference.
